Ok, so, as of right now, I don't have a interest currently in practicing the game for a couple of reasons. However, I WAS thinking of picking up a book, both for mainstream reading purposes and for maybe learning about DnD either as a player or DM or whatever so I can understand it better when I see it on teh youtubes. Is there a good way here to read it as a book? I was looking at the basic rules and it just seemed to be a list of the rules rather then a book format with pages. And if so, What would you recommended from either or both perspective if any, and why?
The basic rules are in the same format as the book for the most part, it just doesn't have separate pages and each chapter is its own page. The mobile app alpha (which is open to the public now) lets you read them in ereader style. Note the players handbook is very similar to the first 10 chapters of the basic rules except that it contains more subclasses, backgrounds, feats, and spells.
Well in my opinion the best book for inspiration so far is, Man’s search for meaning. The character of this book is very interesting. He proves how a man can fight his own negative thoughts and make it to what he wants to achieve. This book is about life coaching and fighting with own emotional intelligence and it is also describing his psychotherapeutic method, which involved identifying a purpose in life to feel positive about and then immersively imagining that outcome.

I recommend reading a physical Player's Handbook, if anything. See if your local public library has a copy. And make sure it's for 5th edition.
