I'm really confused by the pricing on the PHB. Each bundle inside altogether costs $25.95, but buying the book is $29.99. What are you getting that can't be bought a la carte like the stuff in the bundles? Is it just the ability to read the content as 1 contiguous book?
You linked the PHB version instead of basic, but I get the idea. That's pretty worth it in my opinion since linear reading is ideal sometimes.
It's not just that, the compendium content is the only place you can read the majority of the rules that aren't a specific spell or class/race etc. So the combat rules, adventuring rules, though mostly those are the same as the basic rules. Also a helpful thing is that if you buy $25.95 worth of PHB content, buying the full package to get the rest of it only costs the remaining $4.04.

Basically, the extra $4.04 gets you the PHB version of this, which is called the compendium.
