I used to love it when you announced discounts once a quarter or so.
EVERYDAY is ridiculous. This is the very definition of annoying.
We know you have dice offers. We know there are new books coming out and your loyal subscribers will buy the ones we are interested in. A bar at the top of the screen that blocks the menu bar will not convince us to buy something we don't want.
Stop abusing your subscribers. At least give us the chance to turn it off. The "Dismiss" button works for that session but I open this site multiple times a day.
Also I wonder if you invested in people who developed the tools rather than people who advertised at your loyal customers maybe the tools would be updated faster. (For instance - when will Character sheets be fully tied in to the encounters?)
The only reason you will get the SAME ad showing there is if you clear your cookies out. Once you open the site in a new browser session, such as incognito, or have the cookies clear when you close your browser completely, then it will give you the adverts again. Once you clear them they are gone for good unless you clear your cookies out, therefore resetting that switch.
So they are far from abusing subscribers.
Also, its the start of the month, even if it is a week in, a new book has come out and the sales have just all ended. So always expect one or three different ads appearing.
Honestly, if your that bugged by them, dont clear your cookies.
Now, speaking of cookies, you have made me hungry.
What tends to happen is that people who keep multiple DDB tabs open, like me, see the ad banner on each and every tab we have open until we dismiss it. if I'm in the middle of a character building skull session and I have nine DDB tabs open, I'll get the banner ad nine times - more, if I don't dismiss it before opening fresh tabs. If one doesn't realize what's going on it can feel like an all-out assault on one's wallet and be very disruptive, if briefly so, to my use of the site.
I very much get the "will you SHUDDIT DDB, I know there's a new blurdy book!" thing because I do tend to get the banner ad a dozen times per ad. But it's as much my fault as DDB's, so I just learn to click "Dismiss" forty-seven times and cope. Wish there was a cleaner solution, but there ain't.
Yes, I too hate knowing when I can save money on items I will purchase anyway at full price! Letting us know there is a sale is ABUSIVE to your subscribers! I am far too loyal for deals!
Second this...its the worst possible placement for ads on the Annoying scale which I feel is the absolutely worst way to get people interested in a product is to make you annoyed with it.

I never clear cookies. I don't use incognito and I always hit dismiss. Next day or later that day when I open a new browser - same ad or new ad.

I love your sarcasm. I was fine with the sale announcements. It was great every few months when discounts arrived. But this is about new releases, new dice, a new twitch episode.
I pay every month for the right to be annoyed I guess.
