I need some help. I wanted to make an Aberrant Mind sorcerer, as it seemed really cool. I bought specifically the subclass, because at the time I didn't know if I wanted to devote a lot of money to D&D. I go into the character creation and add spells, none of the aberrant stuff is there. No Mind Sliver, no Dissonant whispers, https://192168ll.link/ etc. Could anyone help me with this? Am I just misunderstanding? Do i have to buy the whole book.
Mind Sliver is from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and Dissonant Whispers is from the Player's Handbook. Neither spell is available for free, nor are they included with the purchase of the Aberrant Mind sorcerer subclass.
To add to what Davyd said and to solve your issue, you can buy the spells you want separately similar to how you bought the Aberrant Mind subclass. They're from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and the Player's Handbook. So to answer your question, no you don't have to buy the whole book.

Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB
