Using D&D Beyond...got a player in the group that wants to bring a character he has had for years - wants to update to the 2024 rules to get some of the new Barbarian stuff. Is there a way to update the character sheet that updates all that...for any character really to update spells, feats, etc?

You've got to do it by hand. Make a backup copy first, if you can, both for reference and to let you start over if you mess up.
