As a second generation D&D player, I used to be proud of playing D&D as a family tradition. but after what WOTC has done recently, I can guarantee my children will still play TTRPGs, but never again will we play another Wizards of the Coast product. you guys destroyed far more than you know or care about. enjoy the video game you're building, me and mine won't be playing it.
I am firmly opposed to this new proposed OGL, but I won't stop playing. I just won't buy any new WotC branded content. Third party creators do all the supplemental and adventure content far better anyways.
I find it interesting that the only options you provided for answers are "yes" and "maybe", but no option to vote "no".
That alone tells me that you're posting in bad faith, that you're not interested in having a rational discussion of the issue, and that you're just spamming resentment into the Forums to keep the mob all frothed up.
Alternatively, play dnd but pirate everything from now on. That's what this really does, this OGL nonsense. It encourages everyone to steal and pirate as much wotc as possible, just to spite them.
I say this as a guy with over two dozen physical books and tons of ddb content. Probably not buying anything that gives wotc money ever again at this rate, it'd take a hell of a 180 from them. Doesn't mean I have to stop playing dnd though. I was here first, I will play it without them. I used to run my games on tabletop simulator which is fully agnostic and piratey af due to it's user made content, using it to play is like trying to carve a statue with a bulldozer, but I did it for so many years I got good at it. I'm unstoppable no matter what vtt bs they try, they wanna f- around and find out, fine.
I spent soooooo much money supporting this company, my mind set is not unique. They're about to open pandora's box here. If they keep pissing off the napster generation, they're gonna find out what happens.

So you would take that choice from them?
Say you introduce them to Pathfinder, but they find it too complex and would rather play D&D - you'd banish D&D from the house?
Strike it from the lips and minds of your kids?
