I really don't know where to put this, but here is a good start.
Avrae has a function that auto-creates a round token for your character if you play DnD on discord: the !token command.
In the last month or so, it has begun inserting a custom "D&D Beyond" "frame" around said tokens to tell the world that you're a D&D Beyond user.
Now I don't mind branding, but seriously:
These are so invasive and ugly, and they don't even say D&D. They say "B". Can someone please, please, go back to the drawing board and rethink this ugly thing? If you really need to brand it, at least make the letters smaller, and restrict them to the border instead of covering up lips and crotches? There is not a single player on discord I know who likes this change (Not even the luxury paid users who get the gold-themed borders), and everyone has defaulted to using the "portrait" command to make battle tokens because of it.
Fellow person from the server the example tokens are from (hi, Enkida!). I can confirm that the majority of people I've seen using tokens have either created one with alternate methods, or replaced their character's portrait manually with a different token. If there has to be branding at all, a giant "B" is too intrusive, and doesn't look good.
I know this thread is old, but I wanted to add my two cents.
I remember using the Avrae monster tokens years ago, happily. Today I had a friend ask me what was my opinion on the easiest and fastest way to make monster tokens. I was about to say "use Avrae, it's the best!" until I tried it myself and saw the horrible token borders on all monsters. I showed it to my friend and they decided to find their own art online and use Token Stamp 2.
I know this was posted a while ago, but if you still have issues with it the border, run !token -border none, and it will give you a token with no border

This only works for player tokens
token [name] [args...] Shows a monster or your character's token. Valid Arguments -border <plain|none (player token only)> - Overrides the token border.

These token borders are pretty terrible.

Gloria in Excelsis Deo!
Thanks for pointing out that you can change the borders. Unfortunately the "plain" border option with monsters still has a giant "B" on it.
