I just tried to redeem "Hold Back the Dead" as a free item advertised on the website. However, it requires all my personal information, including a phone number and credit card. That is completely unnecessary and I've since decided that a free PDF is not worth further exposure of my personal information in a time when leaks, hacks and scams are at their peak.
Please consider offering a "redeem now" button that simply adds the item to our accounts, or add it automatically.

I was just about to make a thread on this exact same thing, I have claimed several free promotional offers from D&D beyond in the past and none of those required me entering in a dozen lines of personal information, so they should be able to do it again. I get that they might be trying to standardize their content purchase system, but the old D&D beyond had both a standardized system and no credit card requirements for free offers. Credit cards are for when credit is due, if none is due, then why do I have to act like I'm paying? It's like having to pretend to hand over invisible cash when offered a free sample at a store.
Thanks again Paddy_Valdyr for saving me from another thread.
