Just getting my feet steady under me regarding the site (so apologies if one of these is already in place and I am just missing it), but I would like to make the following suggestions.

1. When creating custom items, allow more flexibility. i.e. I would love to make a "long scimitar" which does 1d8 slashing damage but remains a finesse weapon (differing from a long sword in that it cannot be used 2-handed and leverages DEX instead of STR). Currently, the best work around I can get is to make a custom rapier and call it a scimitar (damage type will be wrong), or make a custom scimitar and just need to remind myself and others to roll a 1d8 instead of a 1d6. Neither are ideal. Heck, better yet, because weapons can be customized directly from the character sheet, just allow an option to change the die type there. This is just one example, but I can think of several others too: i.e. I cannot make a special Elven Chain shirt that qualifies as light armor for like a Bladesinger class due to the inability to change the armor type. Idea here being that a lightweight shirt of Elven Chain shouldn't realistically hamper the Elven tradition of Bladesinging. TL;DR version, the would open up the realm of creativity a bit more! As they are only Homebrew items, easy enough for a DM to just disallow them if they want to stick to core items/rules.
2. Piggy backing off the end of the last one. The add items section on the character sheet would benefit greatly from the ability to either search for words like "light", "medium", or "heavy". Either that or another tap selection to choose from when armor is selected which further filters down to a particular type. I understand proficient helps here a bit if a character is only proficient in one type of armor, but if they are proficient in many types and looking through a long list in regards of what to ask a shopkeeper for, this can lead to a significant amount of scrolling.
