This question is two fold: A, Can i share books with members of my campaign even if im not the DM? B, Since its a reoccuring yearly charge can i cancel the reoccuring charge while maintaining the paid membership for the remaining duration?
You can share your books without being the DM. You just need to turn on Content Sharing for that specific campaign.
As for canceling the recurring charge, I believe you do keep the rest of the year's subscription, but I am not 100% sure.

If you pay for a year and then cancel the recurring subscription, you still get what you paid for, It just doesn't renew.
