When you are creating homebrew races, especially homebrew subraces for your homebrew race, it seems impossible to select what homebrew Race Group you wish for your homebrew subrace to belong in. The Race Group feature promotes organization, but it doesn't allow you to organize your homebrew subraces in your homebrew races.
Seeing as much as I've dug into it over the last year or so it seems they've been promising such a tool or update since 2018. I dont believe it takes 3 years to code in an extra choice. It's like when we've asked for the ability to create mundane items like arrows and bolts as well as weapons.
It's less that it "takes 3 years" to code and more that the various teams have been working to prioritize systems to lessen their tech debt. Many of the past few months' weekly Dev Updates have had guest team members touch on this.
Any progress on this? i've been meaning to make a new race for my homebrew and subraces for it but it won't let me group them up to make them easier to find

Relatively new to DnD, I'm learning how to play but so far it seems like fun, I only have one community/campaign that i am apart of so if anyone feels like adding me to another one feel free.

Correct, so I wonder if this is a coding issue or more so a developer abandonment issue.

AlumniIf or when there is a homebrew tool overhaul (it's been mentioned in the past that this is a long-term goal), it's possible that this may change.

I just put my subraces in a random racegroup like lineages and just kinda ignore that lineages don't work like that
