For some Encounters, a DM would create a Player Character for an Encounter. An NPC, perhaps a Paladin, Oath of Conquest, fighting for the Zhentarim? Or a Githyanki Blade Breaker guarding a secret Githyanki Crêche? Or perhaps the Timelord Wizard of Chronurgy? Or just some basic NPC, 2 Levels of Cleric for a village priest?
Id love to share famous NPCs like Manshoon, or Alustriel Silverhand... Let us share our lore accurate character sheets!
So, are you meaning like within a campaign or to anyone? Because you can set your character sheet up to be "Private", "Campaign Only" or "Public" and then share the link with people from that point on.
Im speaking of sharing it to anyone with a DnDbeyond-Account. Just like you can share whatever Homebrew-Spell or Item or Monster you create. Would be a nice addition to just have a section for "Homebrew Characters".
Its sometimes much easier to create a lvl 5 fighter for a city guard than creating a CR 5 city guard in the monster creator.
