I apologize if this has been covered before, but why aren't the alternative covers offered for presale? I don't really have any gaming stores near me ( I live in no man's land), so having that option would be greatly appreciated.
(also, can the books be a little better protected on shipping, bent corners drive me crazy)
Alternative covers are meant primarily for local game stores to distribute and sell. It is one way to help drive a bit of traffic to brick-and-mortar mom-and-pop shops. If you really want the alternate cover books, you can just order it online from Amazon once Amazon gets them.
What is the price for the 2024 core books with the Alternative Covers? signed up for a preorder at the local game store; they didn't tell me and it didn't occur to me to ask, until I was in the parking lot.
