Thank you for making it easier for me to set up a character and play DnD with my friends. It has been a blast.
Sadly I must inform you that my Master tier yearly subscription have been cancelled (even though I will still have access to my characters until May 2025 as I bought the yearly subscription), but that will be the end of the line for my support of this platform and the DnD franchise.
The reason for this is that as a Gen X dad, I feel that the 2024 ruleset have made significant changes to what I already saw as a massively dumbed down ruleset from previous eras of the DnD franchise.
The mechanics, and the feel of the game, no longer reflect what I consider a fun and interesting gameplay.
But that aside. The straw that broke the camel's back was that I can no longer in a sufficiently simple manner use the 2014 ruleset in the app or the webapp. I feel that I am in fact "forced" into the new ruleset, which I have no interest in following.
I may return as a customer if I can simply filter out and ignore the 2024 ruleset, but until then, this is farewell.
Best regards
