As per the subject line. Was in the process of playing around with a bard/warlock build as the base for an NPC, noted that the PHB sub-class for both did not show up (only the subclasses from Expansion books and the freeby version).
To anyone from Beyond/WOTC who might come across this - please note that I just spent the best part of an hour trying to find a solution to this. My mental state is now one of irritation and frustration instead of the joy that I had anticipated when I sat down to do this.
My best-case scenario is one where I can use and enjoy the tools here to help run my game. As it stands, I'm sufficiently fed up with the time sink involved in wrangling glitches and bugs and features which I'd rather not see that I'm strongly considering using some combination of ROLL20 and pen and paper. It will make some aspects of the game more difficult, but I suspect that the peace of mind may be worth the money involved in purchasing another set of books.
I'm mindful my voice alone here will not change anything, so please add this to the chorus of others who have had their own frustrations.
Your suggestion was among the things I looked at in the hour I spent trying to resolve the issue. EDIT - referring to the legacy and content switches being on. Genuinely appreciate you for the reason below.
EDIT - turns out I did not look carefully enough. This was the first new character I had rolled since the launch of the 24 PHB, and I did not realise that the page content in char gen had changed. The new Core Class category is not labelled 2024, as content from the new launch has been in other contexts, which means that the contextual cue I had without realising become used to was not there, meaning I made an assumption which was wrong. Consistent labelling of things across the site would have helped to alert me to the change.

Which PHB do you own?
It sounds like it's 2014, and you've selected the 2024 class.
Make sure legacy is on, and scroll further down in class selection.
If it is the 2024, check your entitlements. (user menu->account->licenses)
Thanks for responding.
