I have a few of the partnered content books (critical role ect.). The subclasses don't appear to be options when making a new 2024 character, even though the boxes are ticked. Magic items and such show up otherwise and licences are synced so should be available?
I am seeing a similar thing with the Gem Dragon option from Fizban's not being available in the legacy content from Fizban's. Does anyone know of a work around or when this may be fixed?
I too am having this issue with Phantom rogue. Unfortunately I don't think it'll be a 2024 option at all. In their release thread it's not included in the options.

If you're referring to Gem Dragonborn, that's available. It should be under Expanded Rules.
FYI: It took some digging but I found the most current official statement on this: In the Bugs & Support forums the "Player’s Handbook - Issues and Support Thread" mentions:
BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY
Subclasses
As the new classes are backwards compatible - we’ve ensured that all the previous subclasses from books published by Wizards of the Coast work without any issues for the 2024 classes.
Furthermore - it’s included with the book they originally appear in - and will be granted to the owners of those books retroactively.
Just as a note - you’ll note that many subclasses that have been published by our various Partners do not appear for the 2024 classes. We’re working with them to update their content for the new rules, but do not have an ETA for those releases.
The Wildemount book is a Wizards published book and it does not appear in the list.
Published by Wizards through their Critical Role partnership. Still partnered content, and for that reason, it's been showing the Partnered Content tag on the website for a while before the 2024 PHB release.
Sorry to bump this thread but I just purchased Wildemount and can't seem to select Echo Knight with my 2024 fighter - is this a bug or just things haven't been updated and if so, will they be updated?

They've said they're working with their partners to make it happen, but that doesn't give any idea of when or if it will.
Just bought Explorer's guide to Wildemount- Can't seem to use the echo knight fighter subclass, is this going to be fixed soon?
As has been said in this thread a few times, it will currently only work with the 2014 version of the Fighter class. Third party subclasses have not yet been updated for the 2024 rules. There's been no official word on when or if this will be done.

I'm having the same issue, phantom rogue subclass isn't showing for me. However for other classes, I see options available from TCoE
Same problem for me. I hope the subclasses will be available soon, I'd like to update my Echo Knight Fighter to 2024.

The Phantom archetype for Rogue isn't showing up and it's TCoE.
Which is a known bug, as has been told to people in at least half a dozen other threads.
I figured out that the issue I have is actually my player’s account. So I’m going to try helping him with this.
