I'm helping a friend of mine get into D&D and we're going to be having our first session soon. I want to keep things pretty easy and streamlined as they're a bit overwhelmed with the rules and amount of things on their character sheet. They're going to be playing a barbarian and have taken greataxe mastery. I wanted to create a custom action that was almost exactly the same as the regular greataxe action, without the modifiers affecting the damage. However, I am either unable to do so or unable to figure out how to do so. I think it'd be nice if such a custom action could be made, or if an action could be made across the board for cleave weapons when a character has a mastery. In the meantime, we'll just have to do a manual subtraction from the roll's outcome.
