Code Monkey Publishing had a similar problem with the edition 3.0 and edition 3.5 rules content for e-Tools. Other than having a completely separate character builder/editor for EACH distinct edition of D&D, there are few, if any, simple and easy fixes. (I ought to know as I spent 30 to 35 years as a software development professional (Fortran, Algol, COBOL, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, and other tools)). Having a separate character builder for EACH edition: when does one cease keeping one edition's builder current in order to focus on keeping another edition's builder current? When does one cease supporting the builder for edition 3.5 in order to focus on the builder for edition 5.5 or maybe edition 6.0?
The "Learn the Basics/Read Now" button on https://www.dndbeyond.com/how-to-play-dnd
under RESOURCES FOR FIRST-TIME PLAYERS needs to have the link point to the new 2024 Basic Rules.
This will improve new player flow and remove confusion.
