I was trying to build an Echo Knight with the new 2024 fighter, but even though I have access to the content and have in enabled, I can't add it to the class. If I pick the old 2014 Fighter as a base class, then I can select it. Is there going to be an update that will allow for that CR content to be used with the new 2024 classes?
Nobody knows. They've said they're talking to the third-party publishers to make their subclasses work, but that doesn't mean that the necessary agreements will be reached, nor does it give us any idea when that'll happen if it does.

With no word on the issue, the easiest way is to just copy the subclass into Homebrew, open a new Homebrew subclass for the 2024 version, and copy-paste everything over exactly as they have it.

That's a solid idea. My party is still a ways away from starting a new campaign, but if it comes to that, I'll have to build it that way.
