So, I made a character for a new campaign with a few friends a few months ago, a Brass Dragonborn Paladin, and I've just levelled up yesterday. Came on here this morning to update things of my D&D Beyond Character Sheet, and noticed that when I tried to put my Paladin subclass, only 1 option showed up, Oath of Devotion. Please don't tell me that to get the other 3, I have to buy the digital copy of the Player's Handbook? All I want to do is be able to pick any of the 4 CORE subclasses for every class.
Apologies, that quote actually originally came with a response. Seems the forums glitched out on me
What I said was that you do need to own the Player's Handbook on D&D Beyond to access the contents of the Player's Handbook on D&D Beyond. The core rulebooks are not free, only the free Basic Rules are. Those basic rules contain one subclass per class.

Do you have a Campaign group on D&D Beyond, started by the DM?
Has someone in the campaign turned on content sharing with a DM tier subscription?
Does the subclass you want appear in that campaign?
There is only one free core subclass for Paladins, as per the Basic Rules.
To use the Players Handbook someone in the Campaign must own the digital version, and someone in the Campaign must have DM Tier and enabled content sharing, and your character must be in that Campaign group.

How helpful of you. Can you actually tell me what to do or not?
