I purchased the Obojima book, As the shop page said it was compatible with 2024, i assumed that meant it all would be. After purchasing, i realised that wasnt the case. Then when revisiting the page, the small text does say that, I just feel like the rest could of been clearer :(
The big bit of feedback, make these things easier to understand, so people dont feel like Wizards have robbed them of $50.
Make it easier to convert subclasses with the homebrew creator.
Like i just want to be able to Copy the 2014 subclass i now own the license for. but change the class it is playable with. to the 2024 version.
Instead im going to have to spend a day of my life, hitting copy paste on a ton of pages, to do that.
Am i stupid? is there a way to quickly do this? Or have i been robbed of both $50 and a day of my life?
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to convert subclasses from a 2014 class to a 2024 class. You have to manually do it.
I recommend getting a refund if you are not happy with the way things work on Beyond. Does not hurt to try to get your money back, as the worse case scenario is they say no, and if you do get your money back, you can always repurchase it later if you really want it. And before you spend money again, ask your local and/or online D&D communities for help to get you increased access, and once you have someone in your campaign that can help you, you can try then turn on the free trial of the Master Tier subscription to really test everything out on Beyond. After that, also try out Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, and Foundry, and use their free trial versions or ask the D&D community for help with access, so you can really experience the full potential and issues with each platform.
It does take more work to do all that research, but you will be able to make a more informed financial decision afterwards.
