First off, hello and thank you very much in advance for your time. I'm very new to D&D Beyond, but I thought it might be fun to convert some of my existing characters into it, since I really like the layout and it really helps manage everything.
The celestial warlock and the open hand monk went in fine, but to my dismay there appears to be no way to get an Unearthed Arcana ranger in. I immediately began to look and see if anyone had home-brewed it, only to discover that only subclasses can be home-brewed, not entire classes.
Am I missing something? Is there some way to do this that I, in my meager experience have not discovered? My ranger is my favorite character, and it's really disheartening to realize I can't have her here.
I apologize, since I'm sure people have asked about rangers before, but my question is less about whether or not this important change to the rules will be brought in by D&D Beyond, and more about finding a workaround. Thank you again for your time!
You are not missing any secret creation steps - at this stage, there is no capability to homebrew classes. I’ve never homebrewed a subclass before, but could you work off a Paladin or Fighter as the base class, and use homebrewed magic items to cover the other UA Ranger abilities until level 3?
A random question but if someone figured out a way to do it would the UA Ranger be allowable as a sharable item (randomly curious not trying to get around anything)

You can make things for yourself, but cannot publish them. UA is not your original material.
My solution was to create a copy of the subclass that I chose for my Ranger, and add the UA features into there. I then when into my character sheet and edited any actions provided by the original Ranger so that their titles show as "IGNORE" so that I don't look at the wrong one in the heat of the moment.
Edit: As an example, you can see the original Primeval Awareness here (as well as Advantage on Initiative provided by UA Ranger), and then one of the features of the altered one under 'Other'.

These are lovely workarounds! Thank you all so much for helping me out!
