I do not use the Eberron Content and I don't treat it as official content because it is SETTING SPECIFIC. Is there a way to stop all this material from showing in the "Official" list because it seems to cluter the options and show so many items that I am not interested in seeing in the Compendium and have no plans to buy.

I had this issue. In addition to the "Eberron content" toggle, you need to turn off the "Playtest Content" toggle.
