When we select "Self" the rolls appear to us only.
When we select "Everyone" the rolls and modifiers appear to the group.
When you read Chapter 8 of the DMG about hidden rolls, it says:
Rolling behind a screen keeps the players guessing about the strength of their opposition. When a monster hits all the time, is it of a much higher level than the characters, or are you rolling high numbers?
I would like a third way to roll, where it just displays the outcome of the roll for my players, without displaying the number rolled and that doesn't tell them the monster's modifiers.
