I had the opportunity to really use the features and put the sheet through its paces this weekend. One think that I noticed it that I was using MPMP for 3 things. 1. Inventory Management (which I know note everyone needs or cares about, but I need it by GM requirement and as the Party "Quarter Master", 2. spell verbal notes ( I like having standard words for spells, this however is not an issue because I found I could add a note on spells for this... so resolved), 3. Current Relevant notes, like New player character names and mission objectives. Its this third one I would like to talk about.
I am aware that there is a notes section however it pops up to edit it and then right clicking for spell check closes it and looking at anything else hides it. This was an issue because we were doing a level 20 one shot with new characters and casting a spell on a new character I would click spells.. then have to stop to go to notes and find the player/character name I was going to cast on to finish the sentence. Also, when trying to say things and shout tactical planning in combat. I ended up just opening note pad and recording Character/Player/Class Race/Party Job and important session notes like tracking turn an ability, spell, potion has left or mission objectives and key story points.
I like the pop up on the right for fluid information but … would it be possible to add a notes section that I can open and "pin" to the left for notes I want instant access to for flow of play like new party character names? If this has been asked before I apologize I didn't see it.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
The lack of inflection in text means that a reader of any post adds their own inflection as they "verbalize" it in their head. I write long and repetitive in an effort to be clear and avoid my intent from being skewed or inverted. I am also bad at examples. It is common for people to skim my posts pull out the idea they think I mean or want to argue against or focus on my bad example instead of the point I am actually trying to make. I apologies for the confusion my failure to be clear and concise creates.
