When adding a new homebrew race, if you create subraces or variants of the homebrewed base race, you cannot add homebrewed subraces or variants to the "Race Group" since the base homebrew race does not appear in the dropdown.
Can we get this feature added so we can group homebrew race's variants and subraces together in the character creator?

They do plan to improve this eventually.
Yes, as DxJxC has stated, this is something that is planned. If you look at the D&D Beyond roadmap here: https://dndbeyond.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360023043033-Divine-Soul-Sorcerer-able-to-swap-out-Divine-Magic-spell, one of the planned long-term features is Homebrew Revamp. Maybe it will be included then, who knows?
I second this request. I have race I'm working on that will have several subraces. It's a headache to hunt them down in the Character Builder.
