In the wake of Cyber Monday, I'm experimenting a bit with D&D Beyond, and since one of my players was making a new character for yesterday's game I had him do it in D&D Beyond, as an experiment. It was mostly a success, with the exception of the printed spells page.
The thing is, this player made a tiefling warlock with Pact of the Tome. That meant that the spell sheet included things from both the tiefling race, various invocations that let him cast spells, ritual-only spells from the Tome, as well as the warlock's regular pact magic. The end result was... confusing. There was no indication on the printed spell sheet whether the 4th level polymorph spell was part of his Pact Magic, or (as was the actual case) a 1/long rest cast from his Sculptor of Flesh invocation.
In fairness, this was a lot more clear on the online sheet (as Tome rituals were marked as Ritual-only, and other spells had sources listed as "Eldritch Invocation", "Infernal Legacy", or "Pact Magic" instead of just "Warlock" or "Tiefling" as on the printed sheet. But anyhow, I think it would be better if the spells on the printed spell sheet were differentiated more. Perhaps, instead of having one big spell list, provide separate headings for different sources.
