Currently, if you click the header name, it will sort the by that column (ex. Clicking CR in Monster table sorts by challenge rating). Is that what you are referring to?
You don't need to click on the tiny arrow icon to change it. Just click or tap on the name. It will automatically put it in ascending order. If you want descending order tap the name again. It toggles the sort back and forth with every tap to the header name.
