I have a problem where I've submitted a subrace for one of my homebrew races that has a glaring flaw in its presentation, but when I went to go fix that, there was no "edit" button. I tried the "create new version" button, but while the old verson now no longer shows in my collection, I now have both versions listed on the race, which defeats the point of the making a new version. Is there anyway at all to get ride of the old one so that it doesn't horribly clog up the race entry?
Edit: It seems that the details pages has taken to the replacement, but listing in the homebrew content search/catalog is still messed up. Is there a way to fix that? And my previous inqury about a delete function also still stands, as it would be useful outside of this specific instance.
The issue with deleting any public homebrew is that it creates broken links for those who've subscribed to it. If a user subscribes to an item, spell, etc and attempts to examine or even remove it from their character sheet, they receive website errors due to the missing entry. For this reason, the version history is in place to allow creators to update their homebrew with fixes, changes, or improvements while not disturbing the previous subscriptions (or the functionality of such!) Yes, your creations will show a version history, but this also displays your continued support and refinement of the homebrew in question.
Can we delete something if truly required? Of course, but we do suggest routing by the above ideology first and foremost.
