Happily my GMs have not switched to the new system but some in my group created 2024 versions of their characters.
In wanting to try the same with the new rules, some things seem out-right backwards. You're asked to pick an origin, then description, etc. BEFORE picking a race, which seems bonkers. I would think you pick character race *first* as that might influence all of those things. It would be silly indeed (thought I know those races are not in the 2024 basic rules) if you put down 'tan with blonde hair, etc' if you then select a Harengon, or the race with an elemental parent.
As others have noted, being able to easily filter everything away from the 2024 rules or vice versa really needs to happen. It took me about six tries, a lot of confusion and the help of a GM friend to point out why creating a 2014 paladin was such a struggle for me.
As a side note, why would you put down those physical characteristics if you're planning a harengon or genasi anyway? And what's preventing you from going back and updating the info based on a later choice?
How can one confirm they have the 2024 rules when creating a Character? I purchased the 2024 digital copy of the player's handbook (Not the 2024 DM guide or monster manual) but my Character Creation shows a check box for 2014 rules and "Extra Content" which is apparently everything beyond the 2014 rules? Would this Extra Content include the 2024 content I purchased?

Just general feedback here.
