I would like to have an area, similar to how creature companions are handled, for adding NPC Allies/Contacts/Companions to a character sheet. I feel this would come in very useful for character handouts, such as the companions you escape with in 'Out of the Abyss', as it'd be accessible from the player's character sheet. Also, it would be a useful way of dropping NPCs into character sheets, to remind the players of what those NPCs can do for them in and out of battle.

Have you tried using the "other" section of the creatures page? That's where my group puts NPC companions on the rare occasion we have them with us.
