Hey, DM_Stark here. Great work as always and thanks for being so community driven. Saw you guys at GenCon & I'm stoked to be a UX Researcher.
The Feature that jumps out at me is as follows:
I am the resident local DM for a majority of my friends D&D experience. Therefore, I am the one with all the content, both physical & digital. D&D Beyond allows me to share this content and that's awesome. However, What is missing is the ability to share my content with a campaign I am a part of but assign one of the other people in that campaign as the DM. I want to play sometimes too. Now there is currently a decent fake it till you make it system in place to just create the campaign from my account and attach a character to that campaign and assign myself to it. Again, that's awesome except for it doesn't actually give my magical DM powers to that person. The "DM" for this campaign can't create usable homebrew content for that campaign, look at/edit the other characters in the campaign, or any of the administrative things that the DM of the Campaign should be able to do. Adam mentioned in a recent Dev Update that the idea on content sharing was to be equivalent to one person owning all the books and sitting down at the table with their friends. As amazing of a job you guys have done, we just aren't there yet and this feature would go a long way into getting there.
TLDR:
Allow the assigning of the Dungeon Master Role to any player linked to the campaign
Give the assigned DM the administrative capabilities to Add/Edit/Remove players & NPC's from the Campaign.
Give the assigned DM the ability to make homebrew content for the campaign even if they are not the campaign account holder.
Give the assigned DM all the capabilities associated with being the account holder. I.E. Look at/Edit all characters in the campaign.
Good news. You dont have to be the DM to share content. All content own by all members of a campaign (DM and players) are shared with all other members.
As an example, I have the legendary bundle in my group, but am only the back-up/secondary DM (I also have never had a master sub, that was our main DM).
And asside from being able to promote a player to DM, all your other requests are already features too. Private homebrew is shared automatically, DMs can edit and remove PCs and add NPCs. Aside from having to pay 4-6$ a month to the table for the privilege, it is exactly like everyone being able to bring and share their books and creations.
