having the Physical copy to pull out during a game is very helpful..it really saddens me that there seems to be no way to unlock the books that I have a Physical copy of. this site would be much more useful if that was a feature that was on here. i say this because there is not reason to buy the book twice. this site makes things much more convenient but needing to buy multiple copys just to me is not worth it.
are there any plans to make this a feature in the future?
D&D Beyond is a separate company from Wizards of the Coast. D&D Beyond pays a licensing fee to Wizards of the Coast for each book they sell on their platform. If Wizards of the Coast decided to put a D&D Beyond code into every physical book, then they would be showing favoritism to D&D Beyond when there are other companies such as Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds who also sell digital copies of WOTC licensed material. You are even paying for the toolset that D&D Beyond provides for no "additional" cost to you. The character builder, encounter builder, being able to share any paid content with others in a campaign. Personally, it's a fantastic deal, and I own everything on D&D Beyond, and all the books in print and both options are equally worth it.
I get that you don't want to pay twice but it's not in their power or their business model to do what you want them to do.
There are almost always coupon codes for D&D Beyond so you should be able to pick the digital copies up for pretty cheap comparatively.
Please note you can also buy just the pieces you need and this subtracts from the total costs and individual pieces are pretty cheap. You slowly fill in as you need more. They also very often have coupons. You can think of it like this you are paying for access to the tool and the convenience of not having to create the subclasses, subraces etc that are not included in the basic set. You are paying for the saved time and convenience but you could do it yourself.

The short answers are: not currently, no time soon, and because DDB is separate from WotC and LGSs.
Basically it would be like if Game stop offered free digital game codes for every physical game brought in from another store.
