I'm making quite a few characters at the moment. It would be nice if my preferences (content sources, encumbrance, xp type etc)where saved so I don't have to keep making the same changes over and over again when I make a new characters.

You could make a character that has set their preferences and nothing else and copy it as many times as needed.
