I think a good feature to add to character sheets is a shop mode. As it is now, if you're buying a variety of items, you can't keep both the currency and manage equipment tab open at the same time. It would be very helpful to be able to either access both of these at once, so that as I'm adding items I can remove the gold without having to switch tabs constantly.
Yeah, I can get behind this. I dislike the buy button idea because I've never seen a game where the prices match the Phb, and I've never run a game where the players didn't specifically pick their coinage to pay with (gotta dump that electrum). But having currency and manage equipment accessible at once is a really practical suggestion
I think that my preference would be a "shopping cart" system - bear with me on this.
I want to be able to select multiple pieces of equipment that I want when browsing through equipment, "Oh yeah, rope and pitons, that's a great idea. Oh, a hammer to bang the pitons in with is good too ..... ooooh, caltrops!"
After selecting all of the equipment that I would like, I want to be able to see how much it would cost and the encumbrance, with the option to then remove things from the list, "Oh, wait, maybe I don't need two coils of rope - that stuff is a bit heavy and caltrops are expensive, so just 2 sets is fine."

Finally, a "shop" idea I can agree with. Yeah the ability to manage currency and items with navigating away from one of them would be helpful.
(I'm sick of people asking for a buy button for items. Just thinking about all the reasons I would never be able to use that gives me a headache.)
