I really wish there was a way for me to unlock the content for the physical purchases I've made. I own the limited edition hardbacks for nearly every book, and all the regular hardbacks for the rest. Sucks that I have to pay $30 per book AGAIN to make use of the awesome resources here.
Unfortunately there's not and there's little to no chance of that changing. Setting aside the fact WotC and DDB are two difference companies, DDB acting as a distributor for WotC (much like the store you bought your limited edition from), there's no way to reliably validate physical purchases without overhauling the printing or distribution process.
Yeah, I get why you feel that way. But it doesnt work that way for a number of reasons (mainly that DDB is not WotC and does not get any profit from your physical purchases).
