Often in battle there’s so much going on & when using theatre of the mind and in online games without status rings it’s really easy to forget i’m concentrating on a spell. I think it could be really neat to implement a feature that you can mark off once concentrating on a spell. say you take damage on your d&d beyond sheet while it’s marked it possibly reminds you to roll for concentration?
This!!! 100% agreed - perfect place would be directly under the INSPIRATION clickable tab. if you dont use inspiration all that often then i suggest using the click-able icon they set for that as a notic that you have an active spell.
Alternatively, you can use my current work-around:
With the addition of containers I have taken a belt pouch, reduced its weight to 0 and re-named it CONCENTRATION/SPELL EFFECTS and proceeded to make, and add to the container, a bunch of custom magical items with names like "Spell - Shield" or "Spell - fog cloud [concentration]" I've done this for every spell that has concentration or gives a bonus to a main stat [like AC for shield -which i actually include a +5 bonus to AC in the item so that it calculates it when active]. When I cast the spell, I equip the item giving a visual clue that I am concentrating on a spell as well as which spells are active.
I game here to find where the little concentration box was located and I find out it doesn’t exist?! How silly is that. All the third party apps I used before dndb had one. This is crazy. How do paid apps always leave out vital crap like this. Just code one in like inspiration has. Put it under conditions. Anything. Add a box under spell ability/dc/attack section on the spells page with a checkbox for concentration. Do something.
