Even though I never played 5, I feel like my first 5 minutes looking around tells me that this tool is intuitive enough to where I feel like I can understand the way 5 works. I imagine you can view classes and races in the character building portion once that's unlocked in the beta test, along with some sort of HP counter tool.
The only criticism I would provide is I would make GM tools divided into their own category. I would also hope that this tool would make it to where it's impossible to make mistakes. For example: Sometimes people misplace or miscount numbers and bonuses, so as a result, their attacks would be OP. I would hope this system would help do the math for said attacks, so there is no mistaking the end result.
Overall, even though I don't consider myself a know it all at table tops, I would approve of this tool set.
Yes I should as the GM have the ability to invite other users to my "game" and have their chosen/approved char sheets attached.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination. I will protect those who cannot protect themselves, I will protect even those I hate so long as it is right.
I could see the math being an issue if the GM wants to make some home brewed rules. Maybe give the GMs the ability to toggle the math on or off, or the ability to make adjustments for their rules?
That's mainly what I was getting at. When I DM, I may not exactly have stats for a monster. It could just be a HP, a to hit mod, and the like and I often might need to change those on the fly. But as I said, some people will want it. Maybe on the character only side?
I think the math in 5e is simple enough not to need to spend man hours on working it into the app/program. It's not like 3/3.5e where you need to worry about a suite of bonuses. It's a d20 plus ability mod plus prof if applicable in most circumstances.

I think you make absolutely good points.
The rules are laid out nicely to find quickly, and the layout is intuitive. I would like to see a separate section for GM tools.
Thanks for the good feedback.

I'm not certain what the future holds. But I do imagine that they'll have specific place for GM only stuff. That's pretty standard.
As for the math. I could go both ways. I know a lot of people would be happy with it. I don't see it being much of an issue though.

I would agree with that. Most of the human mistakes of this sort of game are made when it comes to characters.
