The printed version of the character sheets are handy for table play but they are kind of dull compared to the much more colorful online versions. Perhaps try to incorporate some of the features like themes, artwork, colors, disadvantage indicators, etc. into the printed version as a different printable character sheet?
Also, during a campaign you end up with many printed versions-- it would be handy to have a date stamp on the printed version.
The pdfs are designed to mirror the official character sheet found in the player's handbook and also to be printer/accessibility friendly. Fancy art and lots of colour can be prohibitive to people printing at home or using services like schools or libraries. Printer ink is one of the most expensive consumer liquids by ml after all.
As for a date stamp, this can be added by adding that information to the sheet yourself; if you need that information you can always look at when the file was created
I agree that the default should be something as close as possible to the official character sheets but that doesn't need to be the only option for those that aren't particularly worried about doing more colorful printing. Also, I don't think that putting a date stamp on it would be that big a deal.
I just want all of my weapons to show up!!!! Is that really too much to ask? Whenever I print out my character sheet, I have an incomplete list of my weapons...why is there not an "overflow" section like ALL of the other lists? I have brought this up in the DEV UPDATES and it seems to be brushed over!! Very frustrated as the whole point of using DNDBeyond for me was to not have to re-write my character sheet every time I level up. Please, please, please, pretty please, address this issue. I'll add all the cherries on it I can fit!!!
