The way the site is set up right now, when viewing the mobile site, you cannot login if you have set up Twitch using Facebook. (Like I apparently did) Some mobile browsers (i.e. Edge on windows 8 and 10 phones) do not allow logins across browsers making it impossible to log in. Please either add the FB login option on the site or have a separate login method. I have not had the chance to try the app version as I am not due for a new phone for a few years.
To sign in while still on the dndbeyond site requires 3rd party cookies enabled. I personally prefer to keep those set to off, but am willing to set exceptions for particular sites. In this case, I could not figure out what site to set the exception to. Tried:
Eventually just had to login through Twitch. Not a big deal, but it'd be nice if the correct domain was in the "Third party cookies required" message in case someone just wants to set an exception.
This was actually a Twitch issue. you can actually link your Twitch account to a FB login, not an actual login. I slogged through all the things I needed to do be able to log into it normally and can now log into this site from any browser. however it would be easier if the FB login button was there.
When I created the account via the desktop, it used my twitch account (no problem there).
When I attempted to use the same credentials to login via mobile, it treated it like a new sign in.
So now I have to separate accounts. Tried clearing the Cache in my mobile browser but the auto-login feature makes it impossible to attempt to resolve.
I am necroing this thread in the hope of getting the attention of a mod who can pass this on. Can we PLEASE have the ability to log into DNDBeyond using our Facebook account, just like we can with twitch.tv. Since they are both the same service, I don't see why I have to jump through hoops just to sign into this site.
Thanks
