Hi! I was wondering if the Dev team could go through the beast section and make an insect, bird, mammal, and maybe other. I would love as a druid to be able to search a monster tag in the beast section and have them organized by a lesser taxonomy of sorts, especially for beast shapes and summons, especially insects.
That isn't a bad idea, but it is essentially homebrew (since official sources don't make such distinctions). DDB generally tries to avoid including unofficial rules (though some exceptions exist like spell tags so it is not impossible).
Though if it does get added, I suggest changing "insect" to "arthropod." I just skimmed the monster listing and the only insects were giant fire beetle, giant wasp, and swarm of insects (which can't be a wild shape, so only 2). Arthropods will include spiders, scorpions, and centipedes (as well as crabs).
