I just wanted to say thank you to the D&D Beyond developers, testers, designers, etc. Whoever you are, thank you for making such a beautiful, easy to use web app! As a software developer myself, I can say I am very impressed and wanted you to know how impressed my family is as well at the usefulness of this tech.
When I went to my first Adventurer's League game this year (before the pandemic hit) I noticed boat loads of people using your app. They loved how easy it made gameplay, easy for DMs to help you update your character (if needed), easy to work together as a party. Not to mention--FINALLY free of pencil shavings and manual PDF manipulations!
But if you think that's great...: I began a campaign recently with my over 60 year-old parents! Dad was a hardcore D&D fan as a kid, but Mom absolutely swore she would never play, because in her words, it was "too much number tracking." ...But guess what? Aside from maybe a smidge of confusion she had about where/how to manage her spells, my mother created her own character on her own and is having a blast! She really likes that she can can easily see what actions, bonus actions, etc. she has available on her turn, can reset/rest easily, track inventory, notes, etc. She wrote a whole backstory for her character (Bardocious the Bard. Very creative. ;-) )! I have to say, she is not a technophile, so the fact that she was competent with (and even likes) your app on day 1 is high praise.
Thank you. Living hundreds of miles apart has made it hard for my family and I to do fun things together, but your app has made it possible. And now we enjoy creative storytelling/adventuring together every week. :-)
And my personal note: I realize that D&D is VERY complex. With each new errata or rulebook released, developers could be looking at a few tweaks to the code...or a total rewrite of an underlying structure. (That's life, sigh.) But no matter where you are all at in your development processes, I just want to say--I am a huge fan!! I was checking out your encounters tools today, and I am super stoked to use it in a future Curse of Strahd campaign I am hoping to run.

So please, treat yo'selves. You all deserve it.
