It makes the exact same spell be listed twice, and be given to (sub)classes twice, just because a fictional character slapped their name on the second version without even changing the spell. Alchemists, for example, currently get both acid arrow and Melf's acid arrow forced upon them without so much as a choice of which to keep, because... reasons.

Technically, they ripped the fictional names off the actual spells. They're listed separately because they're the trademark-free versions that go out in the free-to-use SRD. The named spells all require purchase, the others don't. So they kinda have to be separate.

Please consolidate spells with the same name and that do the same thing (acid arrow, hideous laughter, private sanctum...) in listings.
