By changing the meta tags for the site I was able to preview D&D Beyond such that it’d use the landscape layout when in portrait on an iPad.
It frustrates me to use the mobile styled page on a screen several times larger than a phone... I found the landscape design completely readable and usable on my iPad in portrait.

Please, please consider this. There’s no reason to drastically cut back the interface on a 9+ inch tablet.
