Currently, during character creation homebrewed backgrounds, spells and soon to be feats all appear with the same text as their official counterparts. I have players (myself included) who play in multiple campaigns, each with a varying tolerance of homebrewed material. As an example; one of my players is both in my heavily homebrewed campaign and also plays in an adventure league styled campaign. As they are apart of my campaign with content sharing on, they see all of my homebrew collection, no matter what character they are on nor campaign that character is in.
I am requesting some type of identification to quickly identify homebrewed material in lists, such as when choosing a background. This could be by separation, different text colours or fonts or by simply adding the homebrew symbol in front of the name when it appears in lists.
Well you can turn off home brew content when making a PC, I would love to see where a DM could turn home brew on or off for a campaign, or just allow the home brew they have in their collection to be added when a player makes a character in their campaign.

I also love this idea. However, the problem arises if the Campaign allows for Homebrewed feats but not Backgrounds. I would become rather tedious to create the character once with homebrew off then re-edit after to turn homebrew on.
