I find that when using my character sheet as a spellcaster, the spell list feels cluttered at higher levels because every lower-level spell that can be up-cast with higher slots is displayed in blue alongside the higher level spells. Could an option be added to toggle the display of lower-level spells?
For example, as a 10th-level Wizard, under "4th Level" on my spell list, it lists all my 4th-level spells, but it also lists every 3rd, 2nd, and 1st level spell I have which can be cast at 4th level, with no option to change the display so that only 4th-level spells are displayed in the "4th Level" category. Is there a way this could be implemented as an optional feature?
Please. There would need to be a special exception that spells don't get filtered out if you don't have low level slots for warlocks, but it would still be easier on the eyes for every other spellcaster.
There's several threads requesting this on the Zendesk suggestions thingy, all of which have tons of upvotes. I don't think there are many people who don't want this as it's such an egregiously invasive and problematic issue in the sheet. Honestly, I don't understand why it hasn't been addressed yet given that it seems like turning off a feature that wasn't there initially seems like it should be easier to implement than implementing it.

A pattern I've noticed is that changing anything about the character sheet that is more than text gets acknowledged as planned, but isn't able to be implemented quickly.
My theory has been that the character sheet and associated tools were coded haphazardly and require a lot of work to add/remove/change any part of it no matter how small without causing bugs for the rest of the sheet.
They have stated before that their future plans involve completely rebuilding some of these tools (character builder/sheet and homebrew tools) to not only implement requested changes and improvements, but to make it easier to make changes going forward.

This is the only thing about D&D Beyond that I absolutely do not appreciate. And having searched for this topic I know that there is a large number of people that are in total agreement. They really do need to do something about this.
Surprised no-one at DnDB has pointed out that this feature now exists...
Enter edit mode, and on the Home page (under the list of allowed content sources and XP/HP preferences) is "Show Level-Scaled Spells". Turn it off to lose all those duplicates.
