With the question above, I'm looking specifically and explicitly at healer's kits, but I'd imagine the same basic logic and question could apply to magic items with charges.
I go to town, buy a healer's kit. I go to adventure, a party member need's healing, and I use my healer feat to burn a charge of the kit to restore some HP. How do I track how many charges are left on the kit?
I've created a homebrew "magic" item version of the healer's kit as a wondrous item with 10 consumable charges and 0 weight. I use this as a tracker only that appears in the "limited use" section of the character sheet. When the charges on the tracker gets to 0 I reduce the number of "normal" healer's kits in my inventory by 1.
This is obviously a workaround that is not entirely ideal but should suffice until the devs release a proper fix.
