After recently purchasing two of the digital content source books that had gone on sale. I noticed that an additional subtotal including GST had been tacked on.
I found this rather unfair as for one the prices are in USD, so it seems reasonable but is already rather expensive and also the fact that the GST is not included in the original price.
Understandably GST should be included in the price of buying the content, however I believe it is very misleading to do it this way (not including GST in marketplace prices). I would like to see this changed or at least made very clear in checkout. Until this is changed I will not be purchasing further content from D&D Beyond Marketplace.
Sales tax can only be determined once your tax region is known, which is only possible once you have entered your address. This is stated in the checkout process:
When you first view your basket, you'll see that your total before tax is listed and also it's stated that tax is calculated after address
You then enter your address on second page and once you proceed to payment, your total tax will be displayed:
It's not possible to include sales tax in the marketplace price due to the fact that the tax amount is region dependent and that information can only be determined by the address linked to your payment method.

I hope this clarifies things
