It would be useful to have a DEFAULT FILTERED PAGE VIEW to be able to see the latest creations at the top of the sorting order when browsing through homebrew material. This could be done in a way like NEW ITEMS SINCE YOU LAST VISITED or NEW ITEMS IN THE LAST MONTH
This would provide a lot of benefits to the community, content creators, moderators, and the product:
(Especially true in the MAGIC ITEMS department) It would curtail content creators from attempting to game the system by adding alphanumeric characters to artificially put their content on everyone's first view.
New content created doesn't get lost in the ocean of creations
Content creators can get viewer eyes on their latest creations
It will ease moderators' work load to not have to police so much content attempting to game the system
Homebrew users can get exposed to more content instead of seeing the same alphanumerically listed items
Content is refreshed as often as content creators create
For the DnDBeyond product and product owners, I believe this will increase user engagement.
Yeah, as it stands, popular homebrew gets more upvotes, unpopular hombrew gets more down votes and neutral and new homebrew doesn't get seen.
I mostly ignore public homebrew because there is way, way too much of it, and less than 1 in 50 are in an acceptable condition for me to use (and since I can't edit someone elses homebrew to fix it, 49/50 times I'd need to rebuild it from the ground up.)
I agree with everything that's been said, as a homebrew creator and a dm who loves to use homebrew i think that this addition would be great. In addition to this i wish there was a way for me to hide MY homebrew creations from my players. i make homebrew races for my games and i got multiple versions and i wish i could hide them from the character creator.
a fix (maybe) would be to use my homebrew collection solely vs using both collection and creation, so i can keep things private or just unseen.
This is really critical for the public homebrew section. Without it, there's essentially no point to visiting the homebrew section unless you have a very good idea of what you're looking for. Even the most highly rated homebrews are just older brews that have been at the top for years. High-quality recent brews are incredibly hard to ddetect. I made a ticket for this exact issue on zendesk years ago, but it only has three votes.

This is also true. The vast vast majority of public homebrews are of extremely low quality. One simple fix would be to remove/prohibit public homebrews that have the initial template filler text included.
This is more of a suggestion feedback...

The team is aware of the desire for this, but I've passed along this feedback! :)
