Whew, after a lot of work the Dungeon Room Builder is finally available! Please enjoy these 60 room pieces +1 demo map. I can't wait to see what you put together!
Figured I'd share this here. I'm taking advantage of summer break for our campaign (most of my players are college students) and redoing a few of the maps I had mounted previously, this one being the Galleon. I bought foam cubes off of Amazon to use as spacers and I'm going to be using dowels and washers to create masts and add the sails to it. The bottom level is from my first quick attempt with fabric glue, cardboard, and printer paper (I worked with what I had on-hand). The rest are done using spray adhesive (and a glue stick for touch-up), cardstock, black marker on the border, and foamboard.
2 things that I'm not quite sure how to resolve: 1. As shown by the final photo below, cardstock has nowhere near as vibrant colors (the left one is my first go with printer paper) and 2. borderless doesn't work with my printer as it cuts off roughly 1/8" of the image and throws off the grid, so now I have cutlines where the pieces are joined that aren't on gridlines
Awesome! I have it printed too, but not sure how to attach the sail to the top. Because that way it'd look even better! If you have any idea, please share!
Wow Luke, thanks for sharing! I can't wait to see the whole thing, sails and all. I like the folds you put in the sails, I never thought of that.
I'm not sure what to to about the cut lines. Does your printer's Poster mode have the option for "overlap"? This will print an overlap zone of x inches on both sides, which makes it much easier to seamlessly join them. You could also use this method (printing only part of a map) to crop them manually so that you have overlap to play with.
I think that's what I'm gonna have to do. Overlap doesn't work because it's either not enough and still cuts off or it's too much and causes it to go onto an extra page. Did a test print using the partial print method during my lunch break and it seemed to work well. Gonna rip off what I have when I get home and attempt to use photo paper to improve the color. Probably gonna use packing tape to make it wet-erase friendly as well. I'll post the results.
I like this tavern map. It's quite useful for everyone. But I think the kitchen is missing. I'd imagine at this point that it's to the north in a separate building which has chimney as well. I pity only that it doesn't have sides to print like that house you made once. I love that design, and it was unique.
I appreciate the feedback @Csabologh. I definitely want to make more 3D papercraft buildings in the future!
This is my latest project, the Cave Room Builder set. With these pieces, you can create just about any room layout you can imagine. I'd love to see what you create, so please share them here!
Speaking of collaborations, I finished this one earlier this week! Peter Peko of Forgotten Adventures and I each created a side to this Volatile Portal. It was a fun project indeed. :)
This is my latest work, the Monster Lair, made while I wait for my new scanner to arrive! That Dungeon Room Builder set will be coming very soon. ;)
I draw maps and upload them to 2-Minute Table Top 😊

I'm looking forward to it Luke! Thanks for sharing the process with us.
These are what I've been working on the last week, totalling 177 Mercantile Tokens in all! I'm excited to see what comes of these. :)

I spent the week drawing a multi-layered tavern battle map. It’s free thanks to my Patreon supporters, so please enjoy. I would love your feedback!

Here they are, my first shot at 2D character tokens! What do you think of this 32-piece test run?

Does this mean that you won't have more cooperative bundles with PrintableHeroes? :(
I like the hero tokens. I don't know if I'll get any use out of them, but I like their look.

PrintableHeroes is in a league of his own, in my opinion. My tokens are something else. :)
Collaborations are not something I do often, but I always consider them!

This is good stuff. Now I just need to come up with an adventure that has a couple of portals.

Hello again -- it's been a while, hasn't it?
This is my latest creation, the boring-yet-versatile Cobblestone Highway. Best friends of the Roadside Forest Tokens set!
I have a few more maps to squeeze in this month, so watch this space. ;)

Welcome to Castle Town, my latest D&D settlement map! Sorry, I poured all my creativity into the art, not the title…

I really enjoy your Japanese-style maps. It makes me want to include an area in my campaign where the locals build in that style.
